About me

I was born in Los Angeles and come from parents of Croatian and Jamaican dissent. I grew up mostly in Miami where I went to middle school and high school. Consequently, I moved to Croatia to attend the University of Zagreb where I studied Journalism with a double-major in Public Relations and New Media at the Faculty of Political Science, followed by a Master’s degree in Communications at the Faculty of Croatian Studies.

Meanwhile finishing my studies, I upheld a career as a professional athlete. In 2014 I attained professional status as a soccer player. At the time I was a member of the Croatian Women’s National team and later played for the Croatian Women’s National Futsal team as well.

My early coaching experiences included summer camps with kids from the ages of 4-7 in Miami, volunteering with ŽNK Dinamo-Maksimir’s U16 team and also the U11 boys at Dinamo Zagreb’s Youth Academy. In 2016 I completed the UEFA B coaching course at the Croatian Football Federation Football Academy.

Soon thereafter, I was employed by Coerver Coaching Croatia as a full-time coach (where I am now the general manager of the girl’s academy) and Zagreb 041 as a part-time coach (where I created and supervised the youth soccer academy and women’s futsal academy curriculums, as well as managed the women’s futsal team until 2020).

In 2020 I acquired the UEFA A coaching license.

My experience with media started with a video blog and website launched in 2014, called the Hella Offsides - Football Chick Lit. The initiative was meant to bring the perspective of a female footballer living in Croatia to the general public and lasted until 2017. I also worked for English newsroom at Croatian Radio and Television station's The Voice of Croatia and today I do freelance journalism for FIFPro, the global players union.

My goals are to help younger generations (girls in football especially) to have more opportunities by using my skills as a coach as well as my media experience.

  • As a coach I work with both girls and boys, teaching technical skills but also tactical awareness.

  • As a native English speaker I tutor people of all ages in Croatia to help them with the English language through my own curriculum that emphasizes basic grammar rules and concepts. I focus heavily on conversational English.

  • As a master of communications I make an effort to use the media in order to promote women's soccer and the stories of many athletes and hard workers across the globe through free lance journalism and cooperation with FIFPro.
